BLOG #3: HOW TO BUILD YOUR BUSINESS ONLINE PRESENCE

I've Started A Blog ... I've Written 2 Blog Posts ... where do I go from here??? I've established my "WHY", and I have clearly identified my "INTENTIONS" and my "AUDIENCE" ... now I'd like to tie these 3 elements together.

Here is a list of things I would like to address in this NEW POST ...

LET'S GET STARTED ...

As well, and I will probably disclose this in each and every blog post, I absolutely want to share all that I have learned on my RESEARCH JOURNEY ... I want to share Tech Tools, Selling Platforms, and Marketing Resources that I have "figured out" and share it with everyone in a summarized version.

Perhaps I can save you all enormous amounts of time and frustration, and simply provide you with the ANSWERS ... all in one place!!!

And now … let’s get started on the next “episode” of my BLOGGING JOURNEY :)

1. WHAT IS THE NEXT STEP???

So far, I've written two blog posts ... the first of which explained my inspiration for starting a blog, and the second which encapsulated my intentions and intended blog audience. Now ... how do I implement these elements into a cohesive format???

First of all, I feel so strongly about sticking to my original plan ... I know that I want to share my blogging journey, while at the same time sharing an answer to a question in each blog post.

I want to provide CONTENT/RESOURCES that fit with both my business and blogging journeys simultaneously ... so that it makes sense ... and my readers can understand how it all fits together.

2. MY REASONS AND INTENTIONS FOR MY BLOG CONTENT

I honestly had no idea how pivoting to an online business was going to involve so much research!!! It no longer involved simply running my business ... rather, I needed to figure out the fundamental platforms/software programs/marketing tools and everything in between. I felt crippled by the overwhelm of information, and once I triumphantly made it to my new business launch, I knew that I was going to make it my mission to share it with others who could relate to the struggle.

I have the absolute wish to create a LEARNING RESOURCE for those looking to achieve business startup success, and this is what I strive to implement ... I want my blog to be very personal and intentional, so people can identify with me as an online business owner, while also providing accurate and detailed information on topics that are hotspots for frustration. Please know that this is my driving intention, and I feel that by blending any applicable methods in combination, I can successfully accomplish that.

Where I struggle, is with how I can integrate my business goals (thus making references to my online business) without creating what my audience might feel is a self-promoting environment ... however, because my blog exists in the business solutions niche, it is my hope that I can make honest and transparent financial product/service suggestions when I feel that they are warranted.

I am going to make this disclaimer once again ... I am NOT claiming that I will have the EXACT answer, but I will sure as heck try to provide my audience with as much relevant information as possible, and as many available options when necessary.

More importantly, my mission is to present the information in a consistent format, because I truly believe that CONSISTENCY BUILDS TRUST. I want my blog audience to know that they can trust in the fact that the information I provide has been researched like crazy ... and is written with the intent of making your online business building journey as easy as possible :)

3. QUESTION OF THE DAY: IS IT IMPORTANT TO CREATE A BUSINESS WEBSITE???

The first decision that even closely resembled a definitive choice that I was going to have to make for my new online business, was if and when to create a BUSINESS WEBISTE.

The answer is absolutely YES. Did I do this immediately??? Definitely NOT. Let me explain ...

First of all, and this directly relates to the entire premise of my blog, when I first began my business pivot, I was simply too busy "figuring things out" to devote time to yet another "project" ... which is what BUILDING A WEBSITE felt like to me at that time.

Second, I was still working on a SHOESTRING BUDGET, and from the little bit of research regarding website building that I had done at the beginning of my business transformation journey ... it was going to be a significant financial commitment.

While I was doing my marketing research, I had discovered many ways to "bypass" having to create a website ... all of which are perfectly acceptable methods for those of us who are in the "beginning phases" of our business launching and promotion, and I would actually absolutely suggest trying the following method out, as it gives you a chance to try out "website building" on a smaller scale.

4. "PRE-WEBSITE" METHOD OF MARKETING: USING CANVA TO CREATE A "ONE-PAGE WEBSITE"

I had business products that I wanted to promote, and I figured out that I could use my absolutely favorite software ... CANVA ... to create a one-page website to do that. I could simply create the "website" to direct my customers to "landing page", design a PINTEREST PIN (using the Canva website as the link), and voila ... product is promoted!!! Best of all ... it was FREE!!!

This worked out well ... until I had in excess of ten products to promote. Now, the "time-cost" involved in designing an individual "website page" for each product was far exceeding any sales revenue that I was making on these items ... not to mention, it got to be confusing lol ... I had to find an alternative.

I decided it was time to commit ... to a real website. However, I needed to do it in baby steps ... so, after even more research, I decided to use WIX for my website platform. It seemed to be an easy setup, and best of all, it was FREE (at least to start).

After hours of trying to learn how the platform worked, and then devoting even more time to actually designing my "masterpiece" lol, I was ready to click publish. It was official ... I had my own website.

After everything ... and despite my hesitancy, creating my website has been absolutely wonderful, and has completely streamlined my business marketing.

And now ... I’d like to introduce my WEBSITE, which I can proudly say I designed from "the ground up" ;) I'd love for you to check it out by CLICKING on the IMAGE below :)

5. IN CONCLUSION

It is always my intention to help other "self-starters" at the beginning of their business development journey. I want to save my audience the frustration of spending all their waking hours simply trying to figure out HOW TO do things, so they can spend their time DOING those things.

I am new to the blogging platform, however I am definitely NOT new to business building research, so I invite you to re-visit this BLOG to see all my other CONTENT.
